Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What are VOC’s?
Volatile Organic Compounds are carbon-based compounds that easily evaporate into the air we breath. As the paint starts to dry these are released into the air and creates a horrible smell. They are commonly used in industry for degreasing, thinning and dissolving. They can be found in certain materials, such as, paint, inks and adhesives. They can cause chest complaints, headaches, and nausea, agitate allergies and pollute our environment.
Q: Is this paint completely odour free?
No not completely, as odour free paints requires a considerable cocktail of potentially harmful chemicals, which we avoid. It’s also known that odour free paints have lead people to under-ventilate freshly painted rooms, leading to the build up of unwanted vapours.
Q: Do you colour match?
Yes of course, we will be happy to custom colour match your preferred shade. Please call or email through with your requirements.
Q: How is this paint natural and environmentally friendly?
We use only naturally sourced raw materials including oils, herbs and minerals in our pigments. Our paint is made right here in the UK, thus reducing our environmental footprint and supporting an independent British manufacturer.
Q: How long do rooms have to be aired after decorating with Strong Natural Paint?
You won’t need to vacate any of your rooms or home whilst decorating which makes it a brilliant choice of material for a quick turn around, especially when decorating children’s rooms and nurseries.
Q: How to dispose of the paint responsibly?
Usually your local recycling centres will have a Paint Point for the used tins, but they are unable to accept liquid paint, as liquid wastes are banned from landfill site.
You can add sawdust, sand or soil to the tin if there is any residual liquid, leave the lid off until the paint becomes solid and dry and then dispose.
